Hi Pedro,
I think I'm going to stick with (xubuntu) lucid LTS this time.
I fear this bug applies only to older CRTs, which may not be around for
much longer anyhow.
If you still think this bug is important, I could try running mavrick
off a USB device.

Ubuntu better. A new version of GNOME Power Manager is available on
Maverick and we are wondering if this bug is still an issue for you with
