alternatively, if normally you want to use the last state, but only
every now and then want to start offline (to pick), then you can use
gaim -n

You might want to look into having your status at startup be "offline" instead
of "last status used". Then, you could choose the status you wanted from the
status selector.

Its not MSN as such - its any protocol.
While i can log in as 'away', i cant stop it conn
