I experienced this bug in Ubuntu 6.06 Desktop version (32-bit PC).
If I haven't created ssh-key, then it asks passwords and works fine. But
when I created ssh-key for a single account. After that every other
account that didn't have a ssh-key, hang. When I removed the ssh-key
files and rebooted, e

It happens for me connecting to the sshd daemon of a Breezy machine,
from a current Dapper machine. The connection is to be made using a DSA
key (not password). The DSA key is password protected, however. So if
I have not done 'ssh-add' to unlock the DSA key, and I try to open the

Danilo, nautilus hanging on network issue is a different bug.
Does anybody has the issue on dapper and could describe what server it
tries to connect, if it uses a passphrase or just a password for it and
how it connects to it?

Confirming.
i'm hitting this too: when i add a sftp host through the connect to server

Here is a stacktrace. I get to it via the 'Places->Bookmarks' menu. If I do
what cantormath suggests in the first comment, I do *not* get the problem.

I think I have just seen this bug. I had a window opened on a sftp location,
then the remote host stopped responding (maybe a network problem or congestion)
and nautilus hung. Unlike the original reporter, I had used ssh-add.
A full backtrace is attached, but I fear it can be useless as the naut
Thanks for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use? Could you get a
backtrace of the hang with libgnomevfs2-0-dbg and nautilus-dbg? When
that happens you can run "gdb -p $(pidof nautilus)" and then type
"thread apply all bt" and copy that to a comment

I could not reproduce this on a current Dapper installation. Does this
still happen?
