Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus
Something to do with Nautilus I have the latest updated june 30th I think, version of 9.0.4 remix on a Acer Aspire One with 8 gig SSD. Everthing has been running very well since the latest update until I opened up a PowerPoint presentation that took forever to launch. It played through but would not quit. It reported a freeze and was forced to restart after waiting quite a while. ( Sometimes things are just slow and patience has it own rewards) Upon restart, no more desktop menus. My SD card shows up and I can open and view it's contents but the windows it opens are not moveable, resizeable. If a window opens and covers a window, that's it, your screwed. I would like a fix without having to reinstall the system ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/nautilus Package: nautilus 1:2.26.2-0ubuntu2 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_CA.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: nautilus Tags: ubuntu-unr Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic i686 ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 ubuntu-unr -- Had to force reboot after opening PowerPoint. this is the result https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/395536 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
