Very much opposed to this change. The alignment of the search box and
filters with the music library communicates that the two are related. By
pushing it over, with the currently playing track stealing the highlight
(assuming a left-to-right locale) to boot, that doesn't happen. This

How about hiding the search bar? Something like firefox/epiphany
searchbar. It only shows when you press Ctrl-F or whatever to find (and
stay there while search filter is in effect).

The upstream is unwilling to change the UI, so we will have to do it
ourselves and hope it moves upstream. Or just start our own PPA project
and hope it becomes popular.
