I just think that upstream support is very poor. Probably those
functions are not complete, or are badly implemented by totem-gstreamer.

Sorry, I thought the no menu effect was part of the same problem. If it's
known, I'm not going to file it as a different bug. However, my originaly
bug was that if I put a DVD in the drive, and it automatically played, I
could not "fast forward","rewind", or skip tracks. If I quit Totem, and
