What GTK theme do you use? Does it happen with an another theme?
For the screenshots they are correctly listed on that page. If you have some
issue probably better to open a bug on launchpad

battery applet dies, .. try it yourself.

The slider looks fine, the buttons on top and bottom are cut by at least one
pixel on the right side.
But on certain volume sliders even the slider is cut. I attached the
screenshots above.

I had noticed this same problem when using firefox in KDE after flight 6
and beta, but with the most recent updates, I haven't seen this problem
again. I suspect that whatever bug was causing it, has been fixed.
