Tried the same on another laptop with Dapper (same level of updates) and
worked fine.
Can't reproduce it any more.
I can only assume that this was a related to some anomaly on my first
laptop, which has now corrected itself.
Works for me. Please close.

OK, this is strange. I can now no longer reproduce the problem.
After capturing info lat night, I left the machine running over night
with all the windows open. Tried to copy to the automount Nautilus
window and it worked.
Unplugged the usb drive, plugged it back in. Would not automount.

Thanks for all the info Warren. I can't find anything wrong in the logs.
The strangest things is that the second nautilus window works. In the
first window, if you go to another place (like Computer) and then Back,
does it work? Or by clicking on the disk in Computer?
