Ran Totem without any command line arguments, opened a file and got the
following:
c...@house:~$ totem
(totem:7195): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_object_unref: assertion `object
!= NULL' failed

Tried Totem after I shut the browser down and saw the same behavior as
with Rythmbox - playback worked properly.
