Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution
Travelling the world... installing Ubuntu ( well, here at least ). My friend is German and can work in english. I am an english speaking Canadian - no german language skills. I installed Ubuntu 9.04 in english (but german keymapping). Automatic login of main user, changed to german language. I logout and log back in with english to work on installing programs or instruct her. She entered passwords while in english with 'remember passwords# option. Logging in with german on startup she complained about not getting email. It looked to be a wrong password. I cleared the passwords and she re-entered while logged in using german and it now works. I'll try to do more tests but am moving on to another city so may not get the chance for a while. Sorry for the poor bug report - 1am.
