Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

I'm not sure what is causing this, and it started only 3 days ago.

Setps: Click open with nautilus any folder and it will steadly consume
memory til it hangs the responsiveness of the entire system; mouse
movement, screen drwaing, switching to tty(?) takes forever.

In order to get things back to normal I have to either kill X, kill GDM,
or be fast enough and killall nautilus and then click the close cross in
the upper left corner of the offending window.

The weird thing is that Thunar is also behaving this way, but it is
easier to kill than nautilus (I'm suspecting the name nautilus does not
come from the shell creature but from the weigh of Captain Nemo's ship
hull)

Oh, and this weird buttons appear in the left pane "information view":
...with F-Spot Photo Manager
.....th Thunar

The condition of my system:
This is a less than a week Beta install and updated constantly. This bug ocurrs
in both 2.6.15.22 and .23
I have a 256Mb Ram, 700Mb Swap, 36Gb Hd, Pentium 4 2,4Ghz. It's a 3 year old
office computer so it should run Nautilus and/or Thunar ok, so if it doesn't I
must have done something wrong, but what? And how do I trace it?

Sorry for the long vague post, I tried the forums but nothing came of
it.

Gonçalo
