I've got the same problem with Karmic. It shows a 500GB LVM volume in my
nautilus view and "Places" menu which doesn't respond to my passphrase.
The system works normally and was upgraded from a Jaunty install which I
set up with the Alternate CD and encrypted LVM volumes. Peculiarly it
doesn't eve
