You'll need to create an account with Gnome's bugzilla, at
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/. I'm assuming you'll be able to figure out
the rest, considering you reported this bug through Launchpad. :)
After creating a bug "upstream", you'll want to link it to this bug
report usi
Would that be me? :-)
How would I do that?

The "can't list INBOX" mails problem is supposed to be fixed on edgy.
Does it work if you specify no namespace overwritting?

Further to the last; in the past I could see the subfolders but not the
messages in the INBOX. Now it seems that I can see the messages but not
the subfolders.

After upgrade to Breezy,
Are you saying that you have a structure as follows:

| SUBFOLDER2
|_message 2.1

You're saying that this is consistently a problem for you? I am
connected to an Inbox via IMAP, and
I think the issue is reproducible, perhaps I haven't communicated
enough.
The thing is, if you have an INBOX with messages, and also a set of
subfolders of the INBOX, the INBOX messages will not be visible.
Has this been addressed?

I'm going to go ahead and close this, as we don't seem to have anything
consistent or reproducible.

...And I just seemed to be having the "blank inbox" under a dapper
installation. I went in and fiddled with some of my mail server
settings; I switched the authentication method from "TLS" to "SSL", and
my inbox came back (note, my other folders were visible before that).

It appears that "override server-supplied folder namespace" solves the
problem.
Not sure what this means but got the idea from 21328 :-)

Sorry for my compliant and hasty reply . . . no sooner did I send it
than I re-opened Evolution, and found that the subfolders of INBOX are
now missing in that app.
So, no, the bug is not gone.

I am on the latest LTS; not sure if this solution would have worked
before (?)
You can certainly close the bug, but I think maybe there's a
documentation solution out
there, with some sort of prompt or help text
might be something like bug #21328, could you try if that's fixed with
dapper?

Hi there:
I'm not sure any more what the earlier behavior was, but here's
what's going on now.
I have a strange mail folder arrangement as follows:
Inbox -- With messages
|_Folder1 -- with messages
|_Folder 2 -- with messages
Etc.
Although Evolution shows a number of messages on the Inbo

I switched from Evolution to Thunderbird because there were a lot of
little nits.
I'll put Evolution on one of my machines again and see . . .
