Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-terminal
Steps to reproduce: 1) Right click on tab, select "Set Title..." (or from the Menu "Terminal" -> "Set Title...", or ctrl-i) 2) Type in any name, hit "OK" Expected Outcome: The title displayed on the tab changes to what I typed in Actual Outcome: The title stays "Terminal". If I try to set the title again, the name in the dialog box is what I had typed before, but it never changes the actual title displayed. $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 9.04 Release: 9.04 $ apt-cache policy gnome-terminal gnome-terminal: Installed: 2.26.0-0ubuntu2.1 Candidate: 2.26.0-0ubuntu2.1 Version table: *** 2.26.0-0ubuntu2.1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty-updates/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 2.26.0-0ubuntu2 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/main Packages ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/gnome-terminal Package: gnome-terminal 2.26.0-0ubuntu2.1 ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gnome-terminal Uname: Linux 2.6.28-16-generic i686 ** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- Can't set title in Gnome Terminal https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/485013 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
