Does this still happen in ubuntu 12.04? As far as I know, nautilus cd
burner is deprecated in favour of brasero.

I encountered the same bug while blanking a RW CD.
The CD was mounted and I right-click - Blank Disc
While the blanking was running the error message popped:

hello
I have a similar bug on Karmic, but I don't know if I have to open a new bug
report:
- insert a DVD-RW
- on the Desktop, right-clic - Blank (quick)
- after several seconds the blanking has started, a pop-up window appears

Happened to me as well while
a) blanking dvd-rw media
b) burning data on dvd-rw media
$ lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description:Ubuntu 9.10
Release:9.10
Codename: karmic
$ apt-cache policy nautilus
nautilus:
Installed: 1:2.28.1-0ubuntu3
I have a similar problem writing to dvd-rw on a usb drive via a shell
script. I use something like the following to backup my system at
night:
#!/bin/bash
TODAY=$(/bin/date +%Y.%m.%d)
# create backup.$TODAY.tgz
/usr/bin/growisofs -use-the-force-luke -dvd-compat -Z /dev/dvdrw1\
-D -r -T -l
* Is this reproducible?
Yes
* If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug?
Use Nautilus Write to Disk with a DVD-R disk, when the write is complete, the
error should pop up.
I mostly use RW media and with RW this has never happened.
When the application finishes,
