Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

When I update a field for an existing contact I am able to delete the
old number and enter the new digits. When I press "OK," an error window
pops up that reads, "Error modifying contact. Contact ID already
exists." The changes are therefore not implemented and I am left with
the old phone number. I am unable to make changes to the contacts in
evolution. There are no duplicate entries for the contacts I am trying
to update. I am using Ubuntu 9.10.
