Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-disk-utility
cryptsetup should be a dependency of gnome-disk-utility (palimpsest) as the Disk utility program displays an option to encrypt underlying filesyste,. but then gives an error when it cannot find cryptsetup. Either gray out the option for encryption if cryptsetup is not installer OR (preferred choice) make cryptsetup a dependancy of gnome-disk-utility ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 CheckboxSubmission: 2927c59df4d910c7420633a88fe5f586 CheckboxSystem: d00f84de8a555815fa1c4660280da308 Date: Fri Nov 27 16:18:41 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 NonfreeKernelModules: wl Package: gnome-disk-utility 2.28.0+git20091012-0ubuntu1 ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_CA.UTF-8 PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_CA.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-15.50-generic SourcePackage: gnome-disk-utility Uname: Linux 2.6.31-15-generic i686 ** Affects: gnome-disk-utility (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- cryptsetup should be a dependancy of palimpsest https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/489366 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-disk-utility in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
