Binary package hint: nautilus
Removing a (non empty) folder from an USB stick I got this segfault:
Dec 2 21:50:59 hal kernel: [ 3017.625790] nautilus[1848]: segfault at
18 ip 00000000004cc81e sp 00007fff86c0d1f0 error 4 in
nautilus[400000+1af000]
and the USB stick icon disappeared from the desktop.
