Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

Ubuntu 8.10
Gnome Desktop 2.24.1
Rhythmbox 0.11.6

Insert just purchased CD and trying to extract tracks to library.
Device comes up with the correct CD name. The track window comes up
with the correct track names. I select the tracks to extract, press the
extract icon and an error box comes up saying:

Error transferring track
no element "lame"

The only option is to close the error box.

After closing, and rebooting and retrying the extraction, an error comes
up indicating that the extraction was completed - it asks if I want to
overwrite the existing file.

If I say "Yes", the musicplayer application closes itself. If I say
"No," it doesn't close the application, but it didn't extract the files
either.

I checked the library folder and there are file names for all of the
tracks of the CD I was trying to extract, but they are all file size
zero.

This option used to work, but it seems that one of the last Ubuntu
updates broke it. unfortunately, I don't know which one, because it's
been at least 6 months since I last had reason to use the extract
function.
