I'm affected by this bug too.
- go to Podcasts,
- select 1 or more podcasts,
- hold SHIFT,
- click on another podcast in order to select multiple podcasts at once.
= Rhythmbox window instantly disappears.

- go to Podcasts,
- select 1 podcast,
- hold CTRL key,
- click on another podcast
= Rhythmbox window instantly disappears.
