Opening a new bug report on launchpad would be better.

Copy disc to ISO
Looks like the wording of my original bug could have been better, sorry.
The appending of digits after the "brasero" file name was my idea of a
stop-gap solution so the program would still be usable. But my actual
request was to use the volume name of the disc as the file name as
nautilus-cd-burn
Brasero always uses "brasero.iso" as default iso name, but you are
saying that Brasero should use CD's volume name as default name? My
impression of this bug fix requirement was the last paragraph.

Good to know the appending of the number issue has been fixed -- how
about using the volume name as the file name instead of "brasero"? Or
should I just open a separate bug for that, since this one seems to be
closed?

confirmed that there is fix in brasero version 2.30.2 (Ubuntu 10.04 LTS). It
appends number when the ISO image brasero.iso exists.
brasero-1.iso brasero-2.iso and so on.

This bug is an upstream one and it would be quite helpful if somebody
experiencing it could send the bug the to the people writing the
software. You can learn more about how to do this for various upstreams
at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME ; Thanks in advance!
