I try to print with one of the two network printer that I previously tested and
it works!
To test the second printer I have to return to university, probably next week.

proposed fixes your PDF printing issue?
Just in case you don't know how to enable -proposed, its simple: On the
System menu, select Administration -> Software Sources. Select the
Updates tab and place a tick next to Pre-releas
