Sorry, I couldn't do that.
However, I found a work-around for the issue of my own jabber account
appearing in the buddy list (though not the webcam + microphone issue
mentioned above). I right-clicked and
Shane can you please try to install the development release of empathy
again now it should work for you. Thanks

still exists. and let us know so that we can send this problem to the

Sorry, I tried to do this, but in the development version I couldn't add
any account at all, as there were other bugs their I think.
