Support for scroll events has been added to libindicator, indicator-
applet and indicator-sound, which I received as an update this morning.
I think that libappindicator will need an update to allow applications
to listen to scroll signals though. Also, we should come up with a
guideline for what
Update this morning correct this regression :)
Someone can confirm ?

This is a regression from previous versions of Ubuntu, and it is a
feature I'm using frequently.
I also think that this should be a low priority bug and not marked as
wishlist.

It's a huge regression for me. I hate to use Windows because I cannot
change volume with mouse wheel. It's a feature that I use and I
recommend that for several years.
Due to regression, I think this ticket must be a BUG and not in
whislist.

I would also like to be able to use mouse scrolling for changing the
volume etc.
What I would also suggest is being to able to middle-click on the icon.
Sound should then be immediately muted/unmuted, Rhythmbox should
pause/play the current song. This was possible before and could confuse
users af
Don't forget about the mouse-over popups that applications would give.
I like being able to check my laptop's battery percentage, what song I'm
listening to, and how long until my next typing break without having to
click anything. The way it is now, an extra click has been added to all
of those.

About the second CON. I would accept the suggested inconsistency to have
this feature available. Every icon will have a different action, i think
its can be accepted. I think however that the action on the volume icon
is a must have. ( There is also a bug about this regression).
