Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-settings-daemon

I upgraded to 10.04 from 9.10 through the update manager. My theme does
not load by itself, and I have to go to System->Preferences->Appearance
every time I start up the computer. It turns out the problem is with
gnome-settings-daemon which crashes on startup for some reason.

First time filing a new bug so I'll just follow the guidelines:

Release: 10.04 Beta 1
Package version: 2.30.0-0ubuntu2
What I expected to happen: Load on gnome-settings-daemon on startup.
What happened instead: gnome-settings-daemon crashes.
