Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evince

I'm running Ubuntu 10.04, evince is version 2.30.1-0ubuntu2. This is a
regression from karmic.

If I attempt to open a pdf file with '#' in the file name from the
command line (or from nautilus) evince starts, but does not open the
file, giving a "No such file or directory message". An strace shows
that it is attempting to lstat() the filename truncated at the first #
character.

Opening the same file from File|Open within evince works correctly.

** Affects: evince (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
