Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
Computer Hardware: Asus EEE 1000 running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Release: 10.04 LG W2361V-PF 23" Monitor Package Info: gnome-control-center: Installed: 1:2.30.0-0ubuntu4 Candidate: 1:2.30.0-0ubuntu4 Version table: *** 1:2.30.0-0ubuntu4 0 500 http://ubuntu.osuosl.org/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Expected: I click on Systen: Preferences: Monitors I review my current configuration. The LG 23" is set to ON, Resolution: 1920x1080, and Refresh rate: 60Hz. I expect my eee1000 display to be OFF. Occurred: I click on Systen: Preferences: Monitors The LG 23" is set to ON, Resolution: 1920x1080, and Refresh rate: 60Hz. However, the monitor is named Goldstar Company Ltd 23"? The top and bottom panels on my LG are missing. My Ubuntu 9.10 fix went like this, rename /home/curly/.gconf/apps/panel to /home/curly/.gconf/apps/panelold and then relog in. This would fix panel display issues I hand in Ubuntu 9.10. This does not work in Ubuntu 10.04 My eee1000 display is ON - it should be off. When I resume from the screensaver I get the same problem, the top and bottom panels are missing on my large monitor. Also my small monitor is now ON instead of OFF.
