I've just started to experience this issue. Tried uninstalling, purging, reinstalling, no luck. I didn't have it before, but then one day it started doing it and now I can't use it anymore :-( -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is

No, I can not confirm this. Can not in the sense that I am now running a freshly installed Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. As far as I remember correctly, I did not install any plugins or changed the configuration when the problem existed. The only additional information is, that I did an update from 9.10 to

Some of the plugins for Rhythmbox, such as Jamendo, actually store a database in RAM, and tend to get quite memory hungry. Can you confirm if that is the case or not? -- Rhythmbox eats a HUGE amount of memory on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (even if no music is running)

In the meanwhile I reinstalled Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and the problem does not occur anymore. I think this can be closed then. -- Rhythmbox eats a HUGE amount of memory on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (even if no music is running) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/575159 You received this bug notification because

I installed and ran Valgrind, and tried to follow your instructions. Rhythmbox does not crash, so I just let it run for a while and then closed the program. I also started a song and stopped it. The log grew to 2.5 GB... I then killed rhythmbox and restarted it, just letting it idle over night.
