Borrowed USB keyboard, did the test. The keyboard seems to be detected:
# lsusb
Bus 005 Device 002: ID 1241:1503 Belkin Keyboard
Looking through udev log, I see that all three devices (USB keyboard,
PS/2 keyboard, PS/2 mouse) are detected, but still doesn't work.
After upgrade (but befire reboot
Nope, no USB keyboard/mouse. And dpkg-reconfigure doesn't help.

It looks like your system isn't detecting the keyboard/mouse. Do you
have a USB keyboard you could try with? Also, since you can get in via
SSH, please try a "sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg" to try to reset
your X settings.
