No, it is not the inbox folder. I have a folder called "Selenca" where I
have all my email from that account (received and sent).
I'm attaching a screeshot so you can see what i'm saying.
Let me know if this explains the problem correctly.

*if* that folder is the inbox, and *if* you have set the sent folder for that
account to inbox in "edit>preferences>mail accounts>edit>defaults>sent folder",
i can confirm this. otherwise, i see no chance at all for evolution to find out
this."
