Jérôme: your description of choosing landscape sounds like a 1.6.x or
early 1.7x version of Gnumeric. In those versions printing in landscape
was a gamble that usually did not pay off.
In recent versions 1.7.x (I think 1.7.10 and later), to print landscape:
select page-setup
click on "Change pap

I have this in the printer options : go to File -> Print, select your
printer, and select the "Paper" tab; one of the dropdown menus is named
"Page Orientation" and you can select landscape. (I'm not sure about the
names, I translated them from my locale.)

Nop the problem doesn't exist anymore for the simple reason that the option
doesn't exist anymore...
It seems that it's not possible to print in landscape with the new version or I
didn't find where to choose this option.
