In case it's useful, I've retested with a recent jhbuild (of 2.18) and
the latest gtk does indeed now work on a printer where it doesn't work
in stock edgy.

upstream which has been fixed. There is already bug #67164 open about
that which has extra information, I'm marking that one duplicated. We
will have a look at backporting the patch for ed

Same here. Running edgy, multipage print and even scaling doesn't work
with HP Deskjet 3320.

Same here. Running edy updated today. Multipage print doesn't work with
a Epson Stilus C67 locally connected.
