I reinstalled Maverick today from a July 7 ISO. The problem with
gnomines is now gone.

it doesn't look that way here, not confirming. Which video driver are
you using there? do you get a similar issue with any other game there?
thanks.

I am using nVidia current proprietary driver, 195.36.24. gnomines is
working perfectly with the same driver in Lucid. Also, it worked fine in
Maverick (and the same video driver) until some update I received about a
week ago.
Thank you for your attention. If the problem is not worth pursuing, it

Mines game screen is not properly
Pedro,
As I mentioned in item 4 of my report, when I type Alt-PrtScrn in my
current Maverick installation, nothing happens. In Lucid, this is how I have
been getting screen shots. Do you have a suggestion as to how I can get a
screen shot in Maverick?
Thank you, Tim

Today, I got an update to gnome-games 1.2.31.4, but the problem
persists.
Also, I still cannot determine how to get a screen shot in Maverick. I
tested and Alt-PrtScreen works fine for me in Lucid.

You
Pedro,
Ok, I got advice on Ubuntu Forums to use program scrot to get a screenshot
in Maverick. It works, but unfortunately, when I go to the terminal screen
to run scrot, gnomines goes into Pause mode, so that is the screen that the
shot is made of. It will not help to solve the problem.
Tim
Ok, I figured out how to delay scrot, then press the Resume button on
gnomines to get a good screen shot of the problem. Sorry for all the
fumbling around.
Thanks,
Tim
