I am using nVidia current proprietary driver, 195.36.24. gnomines is working perfectly with the same driver in Lucid. Also, it worked fine in Maverick (and the same video driver) until some update I received about a week ago. Thank you for your attention. If the problem is not worth pursuing, it

Pedro, Ok, I got advice on Ubuntu Forums to use program scrot to get a screenshot in Maverick. It works, but unfortunately, when I go to the terminal screen to run scrot, gnomines goes into Pause mode, so that is the screen that the shot is made of. It will not help to solve the problem. Tim
