I couldn't find the other bug, but as of today with all current updates,
the above problems have been fixed and all works normally for me.

The "Create launcher" dialog accessed with a right-click on the desktop works
correctly now. There are still problems with adding a launcher to the panel.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Right click on panel and select "Add to panel..."
2. Click on "Custom Application Launcher".
3. Fill in anything, or n

Could this same fix be used with the Browse Icons dialog in "Create
launcher", as accessed either from right-click on desktop or from "Add
to Panel..." -> "Custom Application Launcher"?
