Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
There should be a feature to stop charging. The feature is available for
dell laptops running win 7 and vista. It helps to use laptop without
charging and using the power from AC directly. And when power fails the
laptop battery will be used. This can avoid unnecessary charging and
discharging in the laptop.
