Possibly in the same code / category with bug# 18505
to duplicate:
1. take screenshot with gnome-screenshot (easy to do)
2. open it with gimp
3. crop it a little
4. start saving the file
5. exit gimp before save is finished (to exit, click on the little x of window
"The Gimp")
6. enjoy corrupted image
