gettting the same error.
One thing i noteced: My own certificate is listet, but evolutions claims it is
only used for encryption, not signing!
Tried re-importing my certificate, but no success.

i still have this problem.
just updated to evolution 2.30.3-1ubuntu7 (proposed)
same error message as in original report.
sometimes i can choose a cert on the security tab in the mail account
preferences
sometimes not.
