The bug is old and Ubuntu changed quite a lot since, there has also been
no activity here nor similar reports. Closing since we believe the issue
as described is deprecated but feel free to file a new report if you
still have problems in recent Ubuntu versions.

This is still a bug in Oneiric - fusedav works, but Nautilus "Connect to
Server" no longer returns an error, it just continually says
"Connecting..."

No joy on Maverick either (I can get fusedav to work again).
I get the error popup below (I notice it appears to have stripped out
the colon after the http, not sure if that's relevant):
