My apologies, it appears this was due to user-error.
For Yahoo messenger accounts, you must enter only the user-name, not the
full Yahoo ID. e.g. For Yahoo ID "usern...@yahoo.com", it should be
entered as only "username" in Empathy.
Although this convention is highlighted as the example within

to this bug report. you can get those logs from Help>Debug in that
window select haze and click save button and attach the file to this bug
report. (the saved file should be of the time when the problem had
happened)
