Another dump.
I window popped up with a message,
I clicked the X to close it, instead it became a blank window, no message pane
but still menus.
I clicked the X again and it crashed,

Maybe, but it wouldn't explain why I had got two flashing notify title
bars for the same contact, and why one of them brought up an empty
window, and then crashed.

Gaim seems to open extra notification windows for some buddies, one of which is
blank.
