I've tried to reproduce this bug without any luck using:
a. Ubuntu 10.10 NE - gnome-power-manager 2.32.0-0ubuntu1 - Asus eee 1001px
b. Ubuntu 10.04 32bits Desktop Edition - gnome-power-manager 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 -
Asus eee 1001px

This doesn't happen in Ubuntu 10.10 Netbook Edition and gnome-power-
manager 2.32.0-0ubuntu1 (tested with Asus eee 1001px).
