Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus
I am using Ubuntu 10.10 The rubbish bin won't empty. I've tried every method I can think of and, to date, I have about a fortnights worth of deleted items in there. If I right click on the bin icon it shows the bin being emptied but the items are still in there. All other methods show up as a fault and the only option is to skip the delete. Also, if I click on the minus button on an open window, it vanishes completely and I have to open a new window. They don't show up on the bottom tool bar as I would expect them to. Please excuse me if I appear ignorant but I have only just found Ubunta and the wonderful world that you people are helping to create. Any help will be gratefully received, even if it's only to point me in the right direction. I really want to get on with Ubunta and tell Microsoft where to go. If I can make a success of this I will get lots of my friends etc to follow.
