I suspect it's more to do with the flash card not being recognised as a
photo device.
It never used to complain about unsafe device removal when I unplugged
the card reader, or the card from the card reader, but it does now. I
suspect it's treating it as a removable harddri

I rolled back to Ubuntu 6.06 LTS, so no.
6.10 broke this and my webcam, and didn't provide anything new, so I
just rolled back. (On a new machine, the laptop that used to run 6.10
has reverted to something different again, but that's a different story)
