This bug still exists in Hardy. I cannot find the other bug report
mentioned by Sebastien so would be nice to have a tag to that report. I
agree with Kevin, why is this marked as incomplete? There is another
such report listed earlier but it is also marked incomplete.

Nope, still the same issue on Hardy.
Why is this marked as incomplete? look at the attached screen shot.
Title bar and location bar show /home/kevin/books. But I'm navigating
/home/kevin. This is after going to the "Handbook..." folder and tapping
backspace twice, quickly. This is on a 1.5Ghz Cent
I believe this has been fixed in hardy. Please re-test this on hardy.

I can reproduce with any 'up' action, also doing it just once, in a
directory that hasn't finished displaying its contents. Going up once
lets the folderview stay in the old directory.

I can confirm this bug on a fresh feisty installation on an Athlon 64
3200+ (but i386 installation) system that is otherwise fast enough.
Although I have to press the key very quickly. It happens with real
directories anywhere on a normal ext3 file system, both using icon and
list view. In addition
Marking as unconfirmed, I don't have that problem on my feisty
installation. How fast is your box? Somebody having the problem should
probably forward it upstream. Does it happens with real directories too?
