Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gedit
At least for my 64-bit version of Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (fully up-to-date) the embedded terminal plugin does not work. The terminal pane (aka bottom pane) is able to be shown and hidden but it does nothing except show a blinking cursor that does not show a prompt or accept keyboard input. (actually once in a blue moon a key stroke enters a letter). Google finds other people having the same problem. My problem is not however the "white text on white background" problem. ** Affects: gedit (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gedit in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/723798 Title: Embedded terminal plugin does not work -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
