I second this problem. I have an USB drive with an NTFS partition that I
have been unable to mount in Feisty. The attached patch against
hal-0.5.8.1 works for me.
Caveat: Only tested by patching
/usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/10osvendor/20-storage-methods.fdi
