evince always hangs when loading any pdf
To manage no
After more than 6 months of waiting I reinstalled ubuntu, which fixed
the problem. As I said, every pdf caused it, but I can obviously no
longer reproduce the bug. I have attached a pdf from my old home
directory's downloads folder that I wasn't able to open in the past in
case you have another way
still need the pdf though.

some kind of messed-up setting somewhere, but I can't figure out where.

I tried running it w/ gdb, but gdb complains:
"warning: the debug information found in "/usr/lib/debug/usr/bin/evince"
does not match "/usr/bin/evince" (CRC mismatch)."
I reinstalled evince and evince-dbg from the package manager; both are
