Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-session

Theres an option to ask the user whether he wants to save the current session
on logout. Even if its selected theres no such option.
Since most users dont know nothing about session management I suggest to turn
it on by default, since (as I wrote in another bug reports) there are many apps
which depend on it. IMHO session management is the way to go, not the way e.g.
the networkmanager applet goes with the "autostart" list. Its nice that the
user just starts programs, and if they run on logout they run on login again.
No need to worry about "autostart" and such things.

** Affects: gnome-session (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
