Public bug reported:

Leave computer for a while,  display turns black for saving power(computer  is 
not sleeping or hibernate    only the display)
Back to computer,  press keyboard, move mouse,
Display turns on, but  only black screen and a mouse cursor show.
System is not hang, I can switch to console by pressing Ctrl+ALt+F1
have to kill X or reboot to get the login window showing.

I use classic gnome desktop.
This issue happens on both my workstation and Thinkpad X201 laptop..
Frequency:  1 or 2 time one day.
