Hi, Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
It was originally reported against evince but I've changed that as you
don't describe anything wrong with Evince.
A good first try is to turn off Compiz. System -> Preferences ->
Appearance | Effects I think
** Package changed: evince (Ubuntu)
